Zebrawood (Microberlinia brazzavillensis) is native to West and Central Africa. It's heartwood is a light tan or cream color with dark blackish brown streaks resembling a zebra’s stripes. The stripes can be either chaotic and wavy if flatsawn, or somewhat uniform if quartersawn. It is a heavy, hard wood; because of its hardness, it can also be used for skis and tool handles. It was also previously used in Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz automobiles
